A Sustainable Vision for the Mountains

At Sluff Wax, our mission is simple: ski and ride more days while protecting the places we love. That means thinking differently about what goes into our products and making better choices for the mountains we call home.

Our sustainability vision is built around three core principles.

- Performance Still Matters

A more sustainable wax should never mean compromising performance. We make wax for skiers and snowboarders who expect speed, durability, and reliable glide in all conditions. If it doesn’t perform, it doesn’t belong on the mountain.

- Grown in Vermont, Made for the Mountains

We’re developing plant-based waxes made with Vermont-grown sunflowers, replacing petroleum-based inputs with renewable, locally grown materials. By sourcing closer to home, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint while supporting Vermont agriculture and the communities around us.

- Made in Vermont by Skiers & Riders

Sluff Wax is made in Vermont by skiers & riders who have dedicated their lives to the mountains. Vermont isn’t just where we make our wax, it’s where our connection to riding began and where our commitment to the mountains continues.

Being close to the mountains keeps us connected to the environment we depend on and reminds us why making more thoughtful choices matters.

Sustainability Is a Direction, Not a Finish Line

We don’t see sustainability as a box to check. It’s an ongoing process of asking better questions, improving our materials, and finding new ways to reduce our impact.
